My Alli Diet Experience
Honestly, after hearing about the “treatment effects” associated with Alli (e.g., gas with oily spotting, loose stools, and more frequent stools that may be hard to control) I wrote it off. The consequences seemed to outweigh the benefits. But after actually reading up on exactly what can cause the “treatment effects”, I realized that I was in control of whether or not they would happen to me. So, I decided to give Alli a try and haven't had any problems yet. Pardon my bluntness, but I’ve never had any leakage or poop problems at all and it has helped me lose weight. You just have to make sure that you don't eat more fat than is recommended and you'll be fine. It's really not as bad as they make it sound. It really forces you to think about what you're eating. If you don’t....well, it wouldn't be pretty; which for me is incentive enough not to eat out all the time. To me, Alli functions like Antabuse for people who are overweight. It makes the side effects of eating fat so bad that you don't want to eat it for fear that you'll have to suffer the consequences. If you take Alli and follow a low fat, healthy diet, you won't have any problems. However, if you take it and then go out for pizza, be prepared!

The makers of Alli are not promoting this as a magic pill. The Alli diet system tells you to eat more fruits and veggies, to eat fewer fats, and to exercise more. It's all there.
